Renowned high-volume restaurant/café in Los Angeles, California, USA (also operating a boulangerie, patisserie & traiteur division) is looking for a CAFE / SALES ASSOCIATE (Café Server & Barista). Fast-casual yet high-quality restaurant concept with strong daily volume and counter-service operations (like Starbucks). Open 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch, dine-in and take-out. All food and pastries are homemade, featuring fresh, made-to-order French-American cuisine. As a Café Associate, you will report to the Manager & Assistant Manager. You will contribute to the success of our restaurant by performing sales operations, preparing coffee and other beverages, and providing meal service.?This is an on-floor, hands-on position requiring full-day standing. Main duties include: * Taking customer orders and selling food items (no service at tables like a traditional restaurant) * Preparing coffees and other beverages * Providing excellent customer service * Handling cash register and payments * Assisting with service and clearing tables * Maintaining a clean and healthy work environment * Following and applying hygiene procedures Profile: * Young professional from a hospitality or culinary school, or holder of a minimum 2-year degree (BAC + 2 minimum) in business/sales * Minimum 5 years’ experience in food service or a similar retail role (assistant store manager for a retail brand, sales associate, or café supervisor) Required skills: * Must speak and understand good English, both written and spoken (Spanish is a plus). You don’t need to be perfect, but you must be able to communicate clearly in English. * Adaptable, outgoing, and comfortable engaging with customers from a different culture * Rigorous, organized, energetic, and a strong team player with excellent sales skills * Knowledge of café menu and coffee drinks * Motivated by an international experience and career growth opportunities (possibility to move up to Shift Lead/Supervisor) * Reliable, honest, autonomous, and able to handle stress and fast-paced environments * Morning person (working hours from 7am to 4pm) Bonuses in your job:?
